BUFFALO, N.Y. - EntSun -- The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) is pleased to announce that Brook + Whittle – Amherst has successfully achieved recertification under the SGP certification program, reaffirming the facility's continued commitment to sustainable manufacturing, responsible operations and continuous improvement.
SGP certification is the printing and packaging industry's leading sustainability certification, recognizing facilities that take a comprehensive approach to environmental stewardship, social responsibility and operational excellence. Recertification confirms that Brook + Whittle – Amherst continues to meet the rigorous standards of the SGP program while advancing sustainability throughout its operations.
"Recertification reflects the long-term commitment required to embed sustainability into everyday operations," said Birdley James, Chair of the SGP Board of Directors. Brook + Whittle is a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging and heat transfer labels, serving markets including premium beverage, personal care and beauty, household, craft beverage, wine and spirits, nutraceuticals and food packaging. The Amherst facility's recertification reinforces Brook + Whittle's broader focus on sustainable packaging, circular solutions and responsible manufacturing practices.
Brook + Whittle has stated that its sustainability approach takes into account the entire product life cycle, from sourcing to end-of-life, and includes continued efforts to help customers advance their sustainability goals over time. The company has also set sustainability goals across manufacturing and sourcing, including targets related to renewable energy, water reduction, waste diversion, certified paper labels and recyclability or reuse of packaging supported by plastic labels.
