Brevard Hawaiian Dancers Present Na Palapalai And Kuana Torres Kahele Live In Concert!

Internationally Recognized Hawaiian Musicians and Composers Na Palapalai and Kuana Torres Kahele will be LIVE in concert on the Space Coast for TWO nights!
INDIALANTIC, Fla. - EntSun -- Acclaimed as an innovator whose rich vocals and style expand the boundaries of Hawaiian Music, his melodies have captivated a world audience topping the Billboard Top World Albums Chart and winning him multiple Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, Hawaii's premier music awards (equivalent to the Grammy's) including Male Vocalist of the Year. In 2014, Kuana voiced the lead character in the animated short film LAVA by Pixar.
Na Palapalai is Internationally recognized for its highly spirited Hawaiian music. A favorite of Hula dancers worldwide, they remain true to their distinct backyard sound full of enthusiasm and raw energy. Na Palapalai's talented members got their start in the early 90's backing up Akoni as da Palapalai Patch, Kuana and fellow falsetto singer Kahau Temure sang their hearts out to Moku O Keawe songs from he and his Tutu, Ida Kahele. In 1995 Kuana and Kehau emerged as full-fledged "ferns", NA PALAPALI in their hometown Hilo, Hawaii. Joined by Keao Costa, Na Palapalai and their unique Hawaiian island sound went on to be nominated 17 times and won 7 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards including: Album of the year, Group of the Year and Hawaiian Language. Going on almost 25 years, Na Palapalai remain true to their roots and unmatched heavenly sound.

Kuana Torres Kahele is well known as an educator, Master Lei Maker and Kumu Hula (Hula dance teacher) who regularly teaches cultural workshops worldwide. As one of the most popular entertainers performing in Hawaii and Japan, he currently maintains a Hawaiian Music & Culture School in Japan teaching in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka with hundreds of students. Both Kuana and Kehau from Na Palapalai will be teaching workshops in Indialantic, Florida October 18-20, 2019.
