Louise Phipps Senft

Louise Phipps Senft is a woman who builds a bridge wherever she sees one needed.
An innovative, conflict-transformational trailblazer in her predominantly adversarial and emotionally fearful legal profession, mother to five fantastic children, and married for over 35 years, Louise was already a beacon of inspiration and excellence in her community when she got the phone call that changed everything. This became the catalyst for this explorative podcast.

In 1993, Louise left the legal field to open her own mediation practice, a courageous move which raised eyebrows in a male-dominated field. Immediately gaining high-visibility recognition for her innovative work, Louise went on to pioneer some of today's most effective mediation techniques, and receive countless accolades from high-ranking organizations for her outstanding and groundbreaking work.

When her son was injured, Louise brought that same force-of-nature energy and devotion to advocating for what was possible for her son and his future. Open to alternative methods to keep him alive and ways to wean him off life support using homeopathic and other integrative remedies, Louise was surprised to find that the medical field seemed closed off to exploring every available option. The same attitudes and rigidities which had been a red flag to her in the legal profession also seemed prominent in medicine.
