Becoming Love Project and Explore Gwinnett Partner to Host The Story Rewrite at Eagle Rock Studios
EntSun News/11055477
A Free Community Event Using Screenwriting to Reclaim Personal Narratives
NORCROSS, Ga. - EntSun -- The Becoming Love Project is proud to announce a meaningful partnership with Explore Gwinnett to bring its first community-centered event, The Story Rewrite, to Eagle Rock Studios in Norcross on Saturday, May 17, 2025. This free event uses the power of screenwriting and storytelling to help participants reimagine the stories they tell about themselves—and create new ones rooted in self-expression, possibility, and purpose.
At the heart of this partnership is a shared commitment to uplifting local voices through creative platforms. Explore Gwinnett, which includes the Gwinnett Film Office, supports initiatives that highlight Gwinnett as both a cultural destination and a hub for Georgia's growing film and television industry.
"We're proud to support The Story Rewrite and partner with organizations that use screenwriting not only as a creative outlet, but as a powerful way for individuals to take ownership of their lives, heal from the past, and imagine something new, says Lisa Anders, COO of Explore Gwinnett and Director of the Gwinnett Film Office.

The event will take place at Eagle Rock Studios, a major film production facility and a proud part of Georgia's booming entertainment ecosystem. While many productions are made on these soundstages, The Story Rewrite invites everyday people to step into the role of writer—and begin crafting the scripts of their lives.
Founded by filmmaker Tamala Baldwin, whose work has appeared on BET+, Netflix, Hulu, Disney, and Tubi, the Becoming Love Project is a newly launched nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals reclaim their voice through narrative therapy, screenwriting, and community storytelling.
"We're excited to bring this work to Gwinnett in such a meaningful way," said Tene Manning, Community Outreach Co-Chair of The Becoming Love Project, who facilitated the collaboration with Explore Gwinnett. "This partnership is a reminder that storytelling belongs to everyone," says Manning. "We're creating a space where people can be vulnerable, bold, and imaginative—and where their stories are taken seriously."

The event is designed for adults of all backgrounds and experience levels. Participants will engage in writing prompts, story mapping, and storytelling techniques drawn from screenwriting and therapeutic narrative practices. The first 25 registrants will receive a special gift as a thank-you for joining the experience.
The Story Rewrite (https://becomingloveproject.org/the-story-rewrite/) is part of a growing movement to bring together the worlds of film, mental health, and community care through the transformative power of story. With support from Explore Gwinnett, this event will open new doors for residents across the region to access creative healing tools rooted in agency, voice, and imagination.
