"Being elected to the FBAA Board of Directors is an honor I do not take lightly," said Doug Moore, Owner and Licensed Bail Bond Agent at Bail America Bail Bonds. "My focus has always been on membership and making sure bail agents across Florida have the resources and support needed to serve their clients well. Polk County families deserve agents who are engaged, informed, and connected at the highest levels of our profession."

Bail America Embraces the Beyond Bars Project

A highlight of the 2026 Summer General Membership Meeting was a presentation by One Brother One Sister, the nonprofit behind the Beyond Bars Project. Developed with Professional Bail Agents of the United States (PBUS) President David Stuckman and co-founders Karyn Hurley and Scott Jones, the Beyond Bars Project is a groundbreaking "Jail to Treatment" initiative empowering bail agents to connect defendants with substance abuse and mental health treatment resources.

The program gives defendants on bail access to treatment and support services, saving lives, protecting families, and creating a positive impact in communities across the country.
