Charles Newkirk founded Audits +/- Edits in 2017 after having worked in fashion marketing and merchandising for a number of years. The majority of Newkirk's professional experience is in styling. In addition to being the founder of the brand, his work has allowed him to develop as an arbiter of taste, which is quite visible in Audit +/- Edit's visuals. Newkirk's experience as an image consultant enables him to take a more client-focused approach to dressing those who shop the brand. The founder and lead designer obtained a bachelor's degree in communication and media studies from La Salle University in 2015.
