In the San Francisco Bay Area you can now access artist studios on demand and purchase art directly from artists.
SAN FRANCISCO - EntSun -- In the San Francisco Bay Area you can now access artists' studios on demand! Are you a starting or seasonal art collector? Do you like to support your local artist community? Do you want to experience art on an intimate level and meet with an artist in person? If you answered Yes, then Art Visit is for you.
San Francisco's cultural landscape has changed over the past few decades. High compensation for tech workers has pushed housing costs to unbearable heights. Many formerly local artists have moved to less expensive and more artistic cities. Many artists who have stayed are struggling. At least one studio building in the Bay Area currently operates without running water – here, artists clean their tools using an outdoor spicket and are given access to a bank of port-a-potties.
Many Bay Area residents are interested in seeing and buying artwork to decorate their homes. They would prefer original artwork, but they don't know where or how to find it. Many search online.
