Andorra, Pyreenes, Western Europe, February 6, 2025 -The songwriter, singer and producer of pop music known as Wil Hinkson has released his latest single, "Andorra Ode" on the Oh Keh Muse record label. Wil cites as main artistic influences Crosby Stills & Nash, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Toto, The Eagles, and Phil Collins, with his own sound variously termed "pop, soft rock, new 80's" or "chillout rock". Wil wrote the song Andorra Ode, sang and produced it. Hinkson writes, "People say my music makes them feel peaceful -- studio engineers say the same -- so I also call it peaceful pop." Andorra Ode is a crossover mixture of pop music, with harmonic vocals and classical guitar. Some playlists consider it an instrumental, others format it as pop music.

The Discovery
The inspiration and the recording, happened just prior to his move to Andorra from Toronto, Canada. It was an emotional and exciting time he says. Although the song was recorded many years ago, it sat un-noticed in a storage trunk until recently. Wil took the original 2 inch tape to Frederic Menetrier at Gecko Audio in Paris, France to have it converted to digital. Next it went to Ayumu Matsuo, near Toulouse, France. Ayumu is an experienced, professional ProTools audio engineer for mixing and mastering (his wife Kanoko makes and repairs violins). Being a subtly poetic song, though, that's not the only message the single suggests. Hinkson adds as an afterthought, when asked to offer a message to his audience, Hinkson says: "Andorra is a very special country, where friendly people live in a calm, secure environment with exceptional quality services. I appreciate Andorra more and more with time. This song reflects that."
