Ali's Comeback tells the story about an unlikely group of bold people who came together in the most unpredictable location to successfully guide Muhammad Ali's return to the boxing ring in 1970.
Ali's Comeback, a Dream Factory production, will have a two-night premiere on the evening of Friday February 8th at 7pm and Saturday, February 9 at 7:30pm at Cinemark 15, located at 4020 Marlton Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90008. (A third matinee screening will be held at 1:20PM on February 15th).
"We think this is the perfect film to partner with for our mission," said chapter lead Alpha Dixon"Ali inspired black young men across America to find the courage to stand for what they believed, regardless of the cost. Over the past 26 years, The Pan African Film & Arts Festival has sought to increase cultural awareness and bridge diverse communities from the African diaspora by providing a creative safe space for the development and expression of the Black narrative through film, poetry, art and music. This year, PAFF will "amPAFFify" amplify and ignite the Pan-African experience through next generation storytelling. PAFF's legacy is evidenced by the success of storytellers and talent who've contributed works to the festival such as Will Packer, Kevin Hart, Jamie Foxx, Ryan Coogler, Berry Jenkins, Taraji P. Henson, Ava Duvernay, and countless others.
