80 Empire returns with their latest song & video "Legacy" featuring Canada

TORONTO - EntSun -- The phrase LEGACY conjures images of ancestral past; the challenges, the triumphs the successes, the LEGACY!  With this in mind, prolific platinum selling performing producers, 80 Empire, endeavoured to create a thought-provoking video (a testimony to 80 Empire's dedication to telling stories through their music). 80 Empire's storytelling video (scheduled for release on Gladiator Records on Friday, January 29, 2021) features emerging Canadian Hockey stars Akil Thomas & Elijah Roberts, and also features hockey images and footage courtesy of Kwame Mason, the Director, Producer and Writer of the critically acclaimed Documentary, "Soul on Ice: Past, Present & Future " with additional editing by DOP Leo Rossikov.

"LEGACY" is the title SONG from 80 Empire's debut Hip-hop album. The album boasts some of Hip-hop's finest. From Conway the Machine, Fred the Godson, Masta Ace, Kxng Crooked, and Jadakiss, to name a few.

Instead of making the video about themselves, 80 Empire wanted to show the journey of these young dedicated, rising Canadian athletes as they are carved out a LEGACY for themselves.

Earning his rightful place in the history books, Akil Thomas scored the game winning goal against Russia during the 2020 World Junior Hockey Championship game garnering Team Canada a Gold Medal. Akil and elite prospects defenseman Elijah had the honour of playing in the OHL together. Since then, Akil's achievements have continued to grow as he was drafted to the Los Angeles Kings in 2018.

80 Empire's desire to inspire the masses around the world resulted in these standout lyrics:
