14-year Old Maria Raquel Thomas Sends Messages Of Empowerment Through Her Girl Power Cosmetic Collection

WASHINGTON - EntSun -- On Wednesday, Maria Raquel will launch a new eye-shadow palette called "Girl Power." The 12-color eyeshadow palette features pop-art colors including blue, green, orange and pink, among others. The ads that are rolling out feature Maria Raquel in a powerful arm-pump stance with a slogan "Yes it's our time to rise."

The eye-shadow palette is a new family member in the "Girl Power" collection which also includes lipglosses. To encourage girls, she named each of her "Girl Power" lipglosses using positive adjectives: Adventurous, Beautiful, Believer, Confident, Determined, Dreamer, Powerful and Unique.

"It is important for me to focus on female empowerment. To help other girls know they are not alone in their struggles and that there are solutions out there to guide them. I know that building each other up and working together can only create a better environment." she states.

Maria Raquel's cosmetic line also features lip scrubs, and lip masks. She started her makeup line to fix her own challenges with brittle lips. She began to produce lip scrubs and then added more products as the business grew.

"My lips started to become brittle and they became one of my biggest insecurities. I did not feel comfortable when I would go places. So, I started learning about lip care and how to properly take care of your lips. I begin making formulas for lip scrubs. I knew if I had challenges with my lips, other girls were having the same problems," Maria Raquel states.

And so, in early 2020 Maria Raquel Thomas Cosmetics was born. Her first lipgloss collection D.R.I.P. (Daring. Radiant. Independent. Powerful.) sold out in its first week of debut.
