10 year Comedy Celebration Comes to the Historic Howard Theatre

WASHINGTON - EntSun -- Bamma a phrase most used in the DC Metro area term used to describe a person who has no style, taste, or class. Usually this person has no idea that he/she is classified as a Bamma - rather they go about their daily lives thinking what they do, say, or wear is acceptable. Made famous by Huggy Lowdown as well with his famous line "Bamma of the Week" from the Donnie Simpson Show.

The Bamma Phi Bamma phase was coined after a friend of the comedy show founder made the remark about one of his colleagues wearing a black suits with white socks, and said he looked like he pledged "Bamma Phi Bamma".
