"Your Kill": Action-Packed Short Film Takes on Death & Divorce, with a Twist
EntSun News/10979844
MIAMI - EntSun -- Action actor Gabriel Rodriguez [Cobra Kai, Ozark, Power], better known as G-Rod, and award-winning actress, Yessenia Cossio [Dune, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Punisher] are set to star in the upcoming short film "Your Kill" from a New York and Cannes award-winning creative team.
"I wrote 'Your Kill' following a very turbulent time in my life," said G-Rod. "I found the inspiration after my divorce and in a way it helped me cope with the pain. Some aspects of the story are fictional, but without giving too much away - the 'kill' that both characters want in this story represents the custody battle that I experienced in real life."
In "Your Kill", G-Rod plays the lead, Peter, along with Co-Star Yessenia Cossio who plays Liz, Peter's ex-wife. They are paid assassins who recently divorced but still have one last job to do together, except that now, each of them wants it for themselves and is willing to do whatever it takes to get it. The battle that ensues is more about their frustrations with their failed marriage than it is about their actual Target.
Co-Star, Yessenia Cossio, shared, "After reading the script and learning that it was based on true events I was drawn so much more into it. I wanted to make sure I made the character of "Liz" justice, so I immediately began my research straight from the source."

Director Juan Bofill expressed, "After reading the preliminary script from G-Rod and having gone through a similar experience, I immediately felt that I could turn it into an epic, action-packed short film. I hope that people will truly be able to relate to the experience of loss and how, at the end of the day, there's always an opportunity to let forgiveness triumph."
The film Producer, Gloria R. de los Reyes — who's no stranger to working on an Emmy-nominated show — had this to say about the film: "This script landed in my hands on the heels of my own divorce, so the timing felt rather serendipitous. Because the truth is that at the end of a marriage, we're so emotionally exhausted and battle-scarred that most people truly do want to kill each other!"
"Your Kill" comes from the same creative team that in previous years won both in NY and Cannes for best action short.
The entire film was shot in Miami and promises to be a thrilling ride with intense action sequences and a gripping storyline that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.
The red carpet premiere for "Your Kill" is scheduled for March 25th. Please RSVP: https://yourkillfilm.ticketspice.com/your-kill-film-premiere
