"Like many women my age who are interested in personal growth, I had read a lot of books, taken oodles of courses, and built what I jokingly call a verifiable 'shelf-help' collection," Bernard said. "But I was frustrated by practices that sometimes felt more performative than transformative and did not change my life in the ways I had hoped."

"Bigly Feels was a phrase that came to me years ago because it captured the full range of what I might be experiencing, whether I felt joyful and expansive or completely overwhelmed," Bernard said. "What I loved was that I could name the intensity without judging it."
