Texas Leads All States For June Job Gains
EntSun News/11097870
~ In a recent press release, Governor Greg Abbott proudly announced that Texas has once again solidified its position as America's jobs leader. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' employment release for the month of June, Texas gained a staggering 43,400 nonfarm jobs, surpassing all other states in job growth. This achievement is not limited to just the past month, as Texas has also led in job gains over the last 12 months.
Governor Abbott attributes this success to the people of Texas, calling them the state's greatest natural resource. He believes that their hard work and dedication have played a crucial role in making Texas a leader in job creation. The governor also credits the state's highly skilled workforce, business-friendly environment, and exceptional quality of life as key factors in attracting businesses and creating job opportunities.

The latest labor market data released by the Texas Workforce Commission further supports Governor Abbott's claims. The state reached a record high of 14,469,600 total nonfarm jobs after adding 43,400 jobs in June alone. Over the past year, Texas has gained an impressive 177,900 jobs and outpaced the national job growth rate.
The number of employed Texans, including self-employed individuals, also saw an increase to 15,203,600. Additionally, the state's labor force grew by 29,700 people over the last 12 months to reach a total of 15,904,900.
Since Governor Abbott took office in January 2015, Texas has added over 2.6 million jobs. With continued investments in high-demand skills training and partnerships with businesses and innovators for future growth opportunities, it is clear that Texas is committed to providing its citizens with expanded job opportunities for years to come.
