Award-nominated NT documentary 'Plotting the Northern Stars' honours Akio Hoshi with live music and screening at Deckchair Cinema; online release begins 31 October for global audiences.

DARWIN, Australia - EntSun -- Darwin, NT — Plotting the Northern Stars, the evocative documentary from Promised Land Films Pty Ltd, continues its journey of impact and recognition. Released in 2024 with a world premiere, the film has since been screened at several venues during Harmony Week in March 2025, both in Darwin and interstate, and most recently at Darwin City Library in early October 2025.
Now nominated for the Global Film Festival Award GFFA Los Angeles 2025, the film will be screened at Deckchair Cinema on 31 October, in tribute to the Japanese percussionist Akio Hoshi, whose legacy anchors the project's emotional core. A live music performance will precede the screening, celebrating the spirit of collaboration that defines the film.
