In collaboration with the Council for Social Work Education and Salisbury University School of Social Work, SWHELPER has organized a Virtual Summit centering on anti-racism, advocacy, and voting.
DOVER, Del. - EntSun -- SWHELPER, a digital publication for social work and helping professionals, is hosting a two-day Anti-Racism Virtual Summit on 16 and 17 September in collaboration with Salisbury University.
On day one, Crystal Hayes (University of Connecticut School of Social Work) and Jennifer Jewell (Salisbury University School of Social Work) will present on "Dismantling White Supremacy in Social Work".
While social work proclaims social justice as a professional value, the history of social work education and practice tells another story. As uprisings continue to spring up across the country and world, more social workers are being activated into action. This session will explore that history in general and provide an overview of how social workers are disrupting systems of oppression.

"Through our Anti-racism Virtual Summit, we aim to help students to learn about the various approaches to influence change. Salisbury University and the University of Connecticut Schools of Social Work have been pivotal in motivating students to be civically engaged and.
