Sunshine Ace Hardware raises $21K for children's health care

NAPLES, Fla. - EntSun -- Sunshine Ace Hardware raised $21,326 to support pediatric health care through the company's annual Spring Round Up.

Throughout April, customers at Sunshine Ace Hardware retail stores in Collier, Lee, Charlotte and Pinellas counties joined Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware locations in Manatee County in rounding up their purchases or choosing a specific dollar amount to donate at check-out.

Donations made at Sunshine Ace Hardware stores in Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties support Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida through Children's Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization that helps cover the costs of patient services for children and families, charitable care for patients lacking sufficient funds or insurance, and education programs for patients, families and the community. Donations at Sunshine Ace Hardware in Pinellas County and Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware stores in Manatee County support Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg.

"The Spring Round Up is our final fundraising event before summer, so we always want to make a strong push because children's hospitals need year-round support from the community," said Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware. "The support from fundraising initiatives like the Spring Round Up go a long way toward improving pediatric care in our region and supporting families who need assistance."

Children's Miracle Network is Sunshine Ace Hardware's primary charitable partner. Since December 2019, the Naples-based company has raised $565,867 for the nonprofit through a variety of fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
