Studio Valdivieso Announces Little Angel, a Feature Film Inspired by the Life of Angel Ortiz

NEW YORK - EntSun -- Studio Valdivieso announced LITTLE ANGEL, a feature film inspired by the life of Angel Ortiz, the New York street artist known to many as "LA2."

Set against the backdrop of 1980s New York City, the film explores Ortiz's extraordinary friendship with Keith Haring and his decades-long fight for recognition, authorship, and legacy.

His name was Angel Ortiz.

For years, Ortiz's contributions to one of the most celebrated periods in contemporary art remained largely overlooked. LITTLE ANGEL tells the story of a gifted young artist whose work entered the cultural conversation long before history made room for his name.

"This is not a story about fame," said writer and filmmaker Eric Valdivieso. "It's a story about credit. It's about what happens when talent arrives before power. It's about a kid who helped shape a movement and spent decades fighting to be seen."

Following review of the project's creative thesis, those connected to Angel Ortiz responded positively and expressed support for the film.

The screenplay follows a young Angel as he navigates friendship, mentorship, artistic discovery, and the painful reality of watching recognition drift elsewhere. At its core, LITTLE ANGEL is a story about belonging, identity, and the cost of being forgotten.

The screenplay has been completed and is currently being presented as part of Studio Valdivieso's growing slate of original film and television projects.
