COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - EntSun -- STONE ILLUSTRATED LAUNCHES AS A FREE DIGITAL MAGAZINE FOR THE STONE AND TILE INDUSTRY
New publication brings practical field knowledge, failure analysis, restoration guidance, and expert insight directly to industry professionals
COOKEVILLE, Tenn., September 2026: Frederick M. Hueston, founder of Stone Forensics, has announced the launch of Stone Illustrated, a new digital magazine devoted to natural stone, tile, restoration, inspection, fabrication, installation, and failure investigation.
The magazine will be published twice a year and offered free to readers.
Stone Illustrated was created for stone restoration contractors, fabricators, installers, inspectors, architects, designers, building professionals, and anyone interested in understanding how stone and tile perform in real-world conditions.

The first issue features practical articles drawn from Hueston's more than 45 years of experience in the stone and tile industry. Topics include common installation and restoration problems, methods for investigating stone and tile failures, technical guidance for working with natural stone, and lessons learned from actual field cases.
The issue also introduces mentorship opportunities for stone and tile inspectors and restoration professionals who want experienced guidance when dealing with difficult projects, unusual failures, disputed findings, and technically challenging situations.
"Stone Illustrated isn't meant to be another magazine filled with advertisements and recycled information," said Hueston. "The goal is to give readers useful information they can apply in the field. I want it to be educational, practical, and enjoyable to read."
Hueston is an internationally recognized stone and tile consultant, inspector, educator, author, and expert witness. He has written more than 40 books and hundreds of technical articles covering natural stone, tile, restoration, inspection, troubleshooting, safety, and business practices. He also conducts the Stone & Tile Inspection and Troubleshooting Seminar and hosts The Stone & Tile Show podcast.
