SpringHill Suites Albuquerque University Area, New Mexico Opens

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - EntSun -- InterMountain Management, Titan Development and Maestas Development Group are proud to announce the opening of SpringHill Suites by Marriott Albuquerque University Area located at 1101 Central Avenue NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87106. The 118 all-suite hotel is located five miles from Albuquerque International Sunport and just a few minutes from downtown Albuquerque. The hotel offers guests convenient access to the University of New Mexico, Nob Hill, Old Town, The Pit Arena, Expo New Mexico and will be connected by a skybridge to Presbyterian Hospital across the street. The hotel is part of The Highlands mixed-use development that will feature an artisanal food hall, retail businesses and restaurants. The designated workspace offers a well-lit desk space to ensure maximum productivity. The suites offer the latest in-room entertainment technology, allowing guests to access their streaming apps through the HDTV. The hotel also provides business services, complimentary Wi-Fi, same-day dry cleaning, a meeting room, guest laundry facilities, a 24/7 Market, a well-equipped fitness center, and a rooftop patio with a fire pit overlooking downtown Albuquerque.

The hotel has dedicated an entire floor to be the second home of Ronald McDonald House Charities® of New Mexico (RMHC-NM). For the last 37 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Mexico has provided temporary lodging to more 37,000 families traveling to Albuquerque so their children can receive medical treatment not available in their community. In 2019, the organization supported more than 1,000 families, but every year staff is forced to turn away hundreds more simply due to lack of space. It is for this reason the chapter has partnered with Maestas Development Group, Titan Development Group, and Presbyterian Healthcare Services on an expansion project both visionary and creative: to be the first purpose-built Ronald McDonald House in a hotel at the Springfield Suites by Marriott. This partnership allows RMHC-NM to occupy the third floor of the hotel, located in downtown Albuquerque. The Highlands House will serve an additional 640 RMHC-NM families annually, increasing capacity by 67%. The space will include 20 guest rooms, living room spaces, a community kitchen, dining rooms, indoor and outdoor play areas, a sky bridge that will connect families directly to the care they need at Presbyterian Hospital, and more. The approximately 20,000 square feet will have secured dedicated elevator access and parking spaces within the hotel parking garage.
