Spiritual Pop Artist has an Important Message for You this Valentine's Day

LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- This Valentine's Day, Pop Rapper JJ Gemini is releasing a heartfelt cover of Cyndi Lauper's True Colors in order to share an important message of kindness: you are not alone. He hopes to inspire others who have struggled with overcoming self-doubt, shame, and fear, and wants them to know there is hope in discovering love for yourself and others.

"The world can feel overwhelming and painful, but it is an opportunity for positive growth," JJ Gemini says, "Everyone has the capacity to transform their life through optimism and radical forgiveness."

The dreamy ballad is a departure from his usual high energy pop songs, in which he sings and raps about how our soulful gifts are a remedy in this toxic world. However, JJ Gemini feels the old school lyrics are especially poignant today.

"In a time of increasing divisiveness, it is important to remember that inside all of us is a world of possibilities waiting to unfold," says JJ, "It is up to us to see people in a new light, with eyes of acceptance for all of our rainbow diversity."

Your true colors are beautiful like a rainbow, the lyrics say, and for JJ Gemini the rainbow has profound meaning: "Born into the hippie counterculture of the Pacific Northwest, the rainbow represents the ultimate reflection of universal love. As a queer artist, it stands for the beautiful diversity that each of us brings to the world. As a yoga and wellness teacher, the rainbow is a symbol of holistic harmony."

Included in the EP, JJ is also releasing two remixes: a dynamic soulful rap anthem and an uplifting dance club hit. True Colors is available now on Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Deezer and wherever else you get your music.
