Linnae Campbell leads 3,000+ members of American Association of Medical Dosimetrists
ESTERO, Fla. - EntSun -- Linnae Campbell, director of medical dosimetry at Southwest Florida Proton, has been appointed president of the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists for the 2026-27 term.
Campbell leads a professional association with more than 3,000 members nationwide. AAMD's vision is to empower medical dosimetrists and treatment planners to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Medical dosimetrists design, generate and measure radiation dose distributions and dose calculations while providing oversight to high-level treatment procedures in both external beam radiation therapy and brachytherapy.
Campbell has served AAMD since 2019 in a variety of leadership roles, including Continuing Education Committee member and chair. She was elected to AAMD's board of directors in 2023 and appointed president-elect in 2025; she will transition to the role of immediate past president in late 2027. Campbell also has contributed to the National Association of Proton Therapy by facilitating dosimetry roundtables, and she served on the American Society for Radiation Oncology's Multi-Disciplinary Quality Assurance Committee.
