Songs, Stories, and Starlight: Carlini Classics Brings Rabindranath Tagore Back to the World

NEW YORK - EntSun -- Few writers moved as freely between poetry, fiction, drama, music, and spiritual reflection as Rabindranath Tagore, whose work helped carry Bengali literature onto the world stage while reshaping modern Indian writing from within. Cover design for the series was created by Jenny Lim, a recent California State University, East Bay graduate. Her designs pair elegant serif typography with South Asian miniature imagery in muted mauves, blues, greens, and gold — a look that feels both classical and contemporary.

"Tagore wrote as if no boundary between forms was final," said Charles Carlini, founder of Casa Carlini. "These editions are meant to bring that range back into view."
