SimonMed lmaging and QView Medical Announce Partnership to Provide Artificial Intelligence (AI) for 3D Breast Ultrasound Exams

LOS ALTOS, Calif. & PHOENIX - EntSun -- QView Medical, a worldwide leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for medical imaging and SimonMed Imaging, one of the largest outpatient medical imaging providers in the United States, today announced a new partnership for personalized breast screening solutions for the early detection of breast cancer.  They are developing a nationwide deployment of AI/QVCAD with 3D automated breast ultrasound.

QView Medical's AI/QVCAD system had been developed over six years with extensive laboratory algorithm testing with a minimum of 25,000 cases.  Conducting a rigorous scientific study involving eighteen radiologists, QView gained FDA approval for the first AI system to assist the radiologist in interpreting 3D automated breast ultrasound screening.  Since approval, an estimated 100,000 cases worldwide have been reviewed using the AI system. Conclusions in a recently published QVCAD study (Radiology, June 2019) showed radiologist improved review time while maintaining diagnostic accuracy.
