A New Chapter for the Armenian Duduk, Blending Tradition and Contemporary Fusion
TORONTO - EntSun -- Toronto-based musician Sar Kamler is proud to announce the release of his highly anticipated debut album, Butterfly: Sounds of Armenian Duduk. This transformative album takes listeners on a journey through the haunting and soulful sounds of the Armenian duduk, paired with contemporary and world fusion elements.
Butterfly showcases Sar's evolution from a traditional duduk player to a composer, blending ancient Armenian folk music with modern genres such as jazz fusion, ethnic funk, and classical influences. Each track on the album reflects Sar's personal journey, with standout pieces like "Ode to Seasons" symbolizing his growth and mastery of the instrument, and "Funky Sar" pushing the boundaries of what the duduk can achieve.

"The duduk has such an emotional depth, and with this album, I've tried to show its full spectrum of colors," says Sar. "I want to take it out of its traditional space and present it in a way that resonates with modern listeners."
Sar's debut is accompanied by the release of two music videos, Little Paradise and Funky Sar, which bring the music to life through vibrant live performances. Additional music videos, Mountain Dance and Swan's Dream, will be released in November and December.
Butterfly is available worldwide on all major streaming platforms, with physical copies available for purchase through Bandcamp.
