As Part of a 300 Nationwide Pure Barre Studio Outreach Campaign Pure Barre "Stronger Me. Stronger We." fundraising challenge, August 3-31, 2015. Proceeds to benefit efforts to improve health care in Africa and The Caribbean
EntSun - Aug. 3, 2015 - BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Pure Barre Bronxville is hosting a "Stronger Me. Stronger We." fundraising effort to benefit The Afya Foundation. Each year Pure Barre studios across the country select a charity for this fundraising effort and Pure Barre Bronxville has chosen to partner with Afya. This Westchester County-based non-profit collaborates with healthcare centers and physicians across the country to collect and deliver surplus medical supplies and equipment to health care workers and facilities in countries in need of these provisions.
All proceeds from this campaign will go to benefit Afya's long term capacity building efforts in African Nations and Haiti and to its disaster relief efforts, including most recently in Nepal.
"Afya's work can have a significant impact on the health of individuals and their communities in Africa and The Caribbean by giving health care providers medical supplies they need but either cannot afford or cannot get – and we can no longer use here," said Hollis Morris, Marketing Manager of Pure Barre Bronxville. "Through our clients' support, we hope to make a meaningful contribution to Afya so it can continue its efforts toward a healthier global community. Pure Barre Bronxville has built such a strong sense of community in the year we've been open I am excited to see us pull together for this great cause."
