Punk Duo Drops Surprise Single
Today, Cowra based skate punk band Kids Of Yesterday release the first single Tall Lies from their forthcoming EP Boneshaker, which was self recorded and produced by the duo on the south coast coast of NSW.
Kids Of Yesterday have combined elements of Frenzal Rhomb, Bad Religion, Rise Against, Frank Turner and NOFX with their own brash form of punk on their debut album Escape Planet. For fans of late 90's classic punk rock from Fat Wreck Chords and Epitaph Records.
Tall Lies hits hard right from the start, blending raw energy with razor-sharp lyricism. Driving riffs, pounding drums, and urgent vocals come together to deliver a track as anthemic as it is unrelenting. Taking cues from classic punk and modern alternative, it balances aggression with melody, pushing it's message forward without compromise. If you're looking for something that hits both the head and the gut, Tall Lies doesn't hold back.

KIDS OF YESTERDAY - TALL LIES - OUT NOW
ABOUT KIDS OF YESTERDAY
Cowra-based punk rock band KoY (Kids of Yesterday) first formed in 2010 in the jam room of a Tempe share-house. Over the years founding members Duncan Davidson and Joseph Lamond have been joined by many talented musicians in the KoY line up, as the band gigged frequently throughout Sydney, released several EPs, gained high rotation air time on stations such as Triple J Unearthed, headlined Home Grown in 2013, and toured interstate before taking a break over the last few years. Ten whole years may have passed since those early days in Tempe, but the passion and drive for the KoY project never lapsed, with Davidson continuing to write new material for the band even during their hiatus. 2020 has seen Davidson and Lamond join forces once again, stripping KoY back to a duo, and releasing the bands much-anticipated debut album, 'Escape Planet'.
