Butler Associates a Finalist for 2020 Big Apple Award Recognition
NEW YORK - EntSun -- Butler Associates Strategic Communications (http://www.butlerassociates.com/) is among the leading New York and New Jersey communications and public relations agencies and corporate in-house teams being honored at this week's 33rd annual Public Relations Society of America-New York's (PRSA-NY's) Big Apple Awards ceremony.
The mid-town Manhattan and Stamford, CT agency has multiple finalists among the 88 campaigns, from more than 50 PR agencies and in-house communications teams in the running. Each was evaluated and judged by some 60 senior-level New York communications practitioners.
"New York is the number-one ranked media market DMA in the entire nation," said Tom Butler, president of Butler Associates. "As Frank Sinatra's song, New York, New York repeated, 'If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere,' and that is exactly what is so impressive about the amazing firms and campaigns competing annually to take home the prestige of PRSA's Big Apple award."

Among other nominated Butler campaigns is one on America's court reporter shortage in the Reputation and Brand Management category. It was featured in the Wall Street Journal and ABC News. Others finalists are campaigns for 3M Corporation, Pirelli Tires, JBL Speakers and Heluva Good cheese.
It is also a finalist in the Public Service and Public Affairs category for a campaign spotlighting local New York retailers taking on a national mega chain, in a campaign for the Metropolitan Package Store Association. Other category finalists are campaigns for Banfield Foundation, Pacira Pharmaceuticals, Merck and Dove Men+Care.
For Business to Business communications, Butler Associates is nominated for its monumental 2019 Campaign to Save & Restore Federal Support for 9/11 First Responders and Survivors. The campaign's crescendo was the U.S. Congress passing and the President signing the federal 9/11 Health & Compensation Act for 70-years. Other leading campaigns in the running are for Hotwire.com, 3M, and Bristol Myers Squibb.
This campaign was also recognized for Corporate Social Responsibility, along with highly visible campaigns for Tom's of Maine, Gillette, Merck and the New York City MTA.
Located in the media capital of the world, the New York Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America is one of the nation's oldest, largest, and most prominent.
