Oregon named America's yoga and Pilates capital

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. - EntSun -- Oregon has been named America's yoga and Pilates capital, ranking #1 in the country for access to both types of studio per capita.

New research from SlotsLV (https://buzz.slots.lv/usa/most-relaxed-states-i...) analyzed wellness, leisure and relaxation venues across all 50 states, adjusting results for population to reveal where residents have the greatest access to different amenities.

The findings show Oregon is the only state to rank #1 nationally for both yoga and Pilates studios per capita.

It isn't Oregon's only first-place finish, either. The Beaver State also has the most coworking spaces per capita and was named the most relaxed state in America overall.

Oregon continues to cement its reputation as one of the most relaxing states in America. The state's position at the forefront of yoga and Pilates, alongside its strong provision for remote workers.

Oregon is home to 758 wellness and fitness venues, equivalent to nearly 0.2 venues per 1,000 residents, placing the state 6th nationally for wellness and fitness overall. Beyond that, residents have access to 8,497 outdoor relaxation locations across the state.

The study used OpenStreetMap data covering amenities including spas, fitness centres, yoga and Pilates studios, parks, entertainment venues and coworking spaces. Figures were then adjusted using 2024 Census Bureau population data.
