EntSun News/11042298
LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- A captivating docuseries celebrating the culture, essence and some of its cultivators in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
50 Years And Counting: The Legacy of Hip Hop Culture, uncovers the untold stories of an unexpected genre of music that has carved out a significant place in entertainment with historical measures. Drawing inspiration from unique sounds and lyrics which was profoundly overlooked and unrecognized as anything but poetry. Hip Hop has elevated since the early 70's and continues to inspire its dedicated fanbase throughout the years. Producer and Director of the four part series, Rae Ashe set out to explore a deeper look into the early years of the culture by adding untold stories from men and women who were influenced by the music and discovered it under the most unconventional circumstances. This docuseries shares intimate details and various levels of dreams, that has led some of today's popular entertainers into fame and success.
Ashe's candid interviews were creatively guided through neighborhoods in New York City, Newark, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and other locations-making each story that much more compelling. "There are incredible reminiscent moments shared. Such as, when a bright eyed teenager, discovered a group of kids his age doing acrobatic and eclectic dance moves in a popular park back in the early 80's. These unusual techniques would later be known as Pop-Locking and Breakdancing".

Drawing inspiration from unique sounds and lyrics. Hip Hop music's fanbase is forever changing.
"The audience will appreciate each story of the early days in Rap music and watching nostalgic highlights. Many of today's stars were unaware of their own potential talents back then. It was through some part of the culture that lead them to tap into the unknown within." Ashe explained.
"According to some of the subjects interviewed. Hip Hop music saved their life. Whether it was discovery of art through graffiti, fashion, videography, reciting lyrics echoing the harsh means of living in the inner city or impoverished elements." Rae continued to say.
The series explores the late 80's and 90's which has now been considered as the golden era of Hop Hop. The series has proven to be a favorite among film festivals such as, The City of Angels Women's Film Festival and Fresh Black Film Festival just to name a few.
50 Years And Counting: The Legacy of Hip Hop Culture, is set to release this December on Prime.
