Naperville: Police Investigate Report of Gunshots

~ On Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at approximately 9:19 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of South Route 59 for reports of shots fired. According to a witness, two vehicles and their occupants had fled the scene. However, officers were able to quickly identify the vehicles and locate them.

After interviewing several individuals believed to be involved in the incident, it was determined that the parties knew each other and there is no threat to the public. The investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
