Michael R. Moore, a respected industry photographer, passed away from complications due to a stroke.
LOS ANGELES - EntSun -- Michael R. Moore, the beloved and world-renowned photographer, died on June 11, 2024, from complications due to a stroke. He was 55 years old.
Born in Dallas and based in Los Angeles, Moore's critically acclaimed, award-winning work was featured in Detour Magazine, Jacamo Magazine, ENDEE Magazine, and Metro Source Magazine. He has shot celebrities like Danny Glover, Tavis Smiley, FOX Soul host Tammi Mac, and more of Hollywood's elite.
"MOZELL valued MICHAEL R. MOORE as a longtime COLLABORATOR and talented member of the group," said Richard Willis, Jr., CEO and executive producer of MOZELL Entertainment Group, in a statement. "Michael exclusively photographed music artist/producer REYN, model/actor Isaac J. Sullivan, and a wide range of on-camera and behind-the-scenes talent for MOZELL film, television, music, theater, and fashion projects. Now, one of my real true close friends is gone. Michael has been right next to me with not just his camera, but also with his heart. He helped me, counseled me, believed in me, and believed in MOZELL."

Willis and Moore were particularly proud of the ENDEE MAGAZINE cover story and shoot on MOZELL. It was an achievement they planned and accomplished together.
"Michael was an inspiration to me. He was my pal. My brother. Confidant. Colleague. He was my friend," said Willis. "We worked together. Partied together. Dreamed together! Michael embodied how to live life to the fullest! Michael was a consummate professional. A brilliant artist. I loved him, and I will miss him more than words can describe."
MOZELL (https://www.facebook.com/MozellEntertainmentGroup/) wasn't the only one to pay its respects.
"Michael was a dear family friend for 25 years," said Gayle Brody and Irene Saavedra in a statement. "He always considered our home his sanctuary where he could find peace and space. Gracing us with his unconditional love and abundant talent, he lives on in our hearts."

Moore's manager, Karen T. Bolt, also said, "The loss of my dear friend Michael has left a void that words cannot fully capture," she said. "I will miss his impeccable sense of style, his deep love of elephants, our daily chats, and that signature bright smile. Michael always said, "It's all about the magic!" and indeed, his presence brought magic into our lives. Rest in peace, my friend. You will be forever missed."
Moore is survived by his mother.
Funeral arrangements are currently being made in both his adopted home of Los Angeles and his native Dallas. The Moore family has also set up a GoFundMe at https://www.gofundme.com/f/michael-r-moore-a-photographic-artists-final-journey to pay for his expenses.
