Mondo providing competition track for World Athletics Championships Budapest 23

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - EntSun -- Mondo has been selected to provide the athletics track surface for the World Athletics Championships Budapest 23. This marks the 13th time that a local organizing committee has selected Mondo for the World Athletics Championships since the first edition in 1983.

The most technologically advanced athletics track in the world and specifically designed for top-level competition facilities, Mondotrack WS is being installed at the new National Athletics Centre, which will host the August 19-27 competition. The world's third largest sporting event and the largest one in the history of Hungary, the event is expected to draw athletes from more than 200 countries.

It is made of solid vulcanized rubber and is free of coatings and partially embedded microplastic granules that become loose over time, eventually contaminating water bodies and compromising grip and athletic performance.
