Michigan Trails Completes New Statewide Trails Map and Directory

LANSING, Mich. - May 24, 2019 - EntSun -- The Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance has just published a new statewide map and directory of 286 multiuse trails with support from the Michigan Department of Transportation and McLaren Health Care.

The new trails directory is now available at all Michigan Department of Transportation Welcome Centers as well as on the organization's website, michigantrails.org/trails. The online version has links to all listed trails for additional information. The trails map was researched and designed by Michigan Trails in cooperation with cartographer Christopher J. Bessert.

"Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance has a long history of providing a detailed trails directory for trail users all over Michigan," said Bob Wilson, Executive Director of the Michigan Trails and Greenways Alliance. "This year's version is the most significant improvement we have had in many years with much more detail, nearly a thousand more miles of trails and an easier to use layout."
