Mezzo-Soprano Tracie Luck Returns to the Weinberg Center Stage

FREDERICK, Md. - EntSun -- The African American Resources, Cultural and Heritage Society (AARCH) is proud to welcome Frederick's own internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano, Tracie Luck, for her triumphant return to the Weinberg Center for the Arts on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 3:00 PM. In her performance titled A Walk In Faith, Tracie will take the audience on a transformative musical journey through life's most profound and uplifting moments.
Standard ticket is $35 with a VIP ticket for $50 which includes an after-concert reception at New Spire Arts. Tickets may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the box office at 301-600-2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick Street.
Tracie Luck, who studied at The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, will be accompanied by renowned pianist and conductor Maestro David Antony Lofton, and will perform a diverse and evocative program, blending jazz, spirituals, and celebrated classical works. Highlights include Gustav Mahler's Songs of a Wayfarer, a powerful German song cycle that explores themes of loss and renewal, and Hector Berlioz's Nuits d'Été (Nights of Summer), a French masterpiece that delves into the complexities of love and longing. In an uplifting finale, Tracie will be joined by the Frederick County Gospel Choir, whose spirited performance promises to leave audiences inspired and filled with hope.

The event supports the mission of AARCH to preserve and share the rich African American history of Frederick County. VIP ticket holders are invited to a special post-performance event at New Spire Arts, where they will have the opportunity to meet Tracie Luck and members of the Frederick County Gospel Choir. This event will feature refreshments and will raise funds for the 2025 grand opening of the AARCH Society African American Heritage Center, Frederick County's first museum and cultural center dedicated to honoring the local African American experience.
