A Memorable Memorial Day For Mizner Country Club

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - EntSun -- Members of the U.S. Armed Forces once again gathered together with Mizner Country Club members and their families this past Memorial Day for a special ceremony paying tribute to their service. This year's annual event held a special meaning considering world events in which Armed Forces servicemen and women are called to serve.

In addition to the Memorial Day tribute ceremony, military guests were treated to a day of culinary delights and a round of golf.

In a letter to Mizner, Lieutenant Colonel Joe Cormack from United States Southern Command thanked Mizner Country Club members for their tribute to Armed Forces representatives. He wrote, "Your entire Mizner club membership remains so gracious and welcoming in honoring all those who have served our nation – both past and present.  This tournament/event is so very special and provides such a wonderful tribute to the meaning of the day.  I am always humbled to be invited to participate and it remains one of my favorite events for the year."

Lt. ColoneI Cormack further recognized " All those who have served our nation – and you are especially blessed to have so many of your club members who answered the call to service.  Meeting and talking with your members remains one of the best parts of the day."

Commenting on the Memorial Day festivities, Mackenzie Lalov, Mizner Country Club's Membership & Marketing Director, said, "It is times like these that we recognize the simple fact that that freedom comes at a cost. It is our privilege and honor to host a day for the courageous men and women who serve our nation every day.   The Mizner membership is honored to share this day with the representatives of our Armed Forces  and to open our facilities to them."

The event began with a gourmet buffet breakfast and an Opening Ceremony followed by a golf scramble on Mizner's newly renovated 18-hole golf course. A special BBQ luncheon followed.
