MEDIA ALERT: Tina Turner's niece, Jacquline Bullock, to Attend Unveiling of Tina Turner Statue

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - EntSun -- Every fourth weekend of September, Tina Turner's fans from across the globe converge about an hour northeast of Memphis to the town of Brownville, Tennessee to celebrate the Queen of Rock 'n Roll.  Close to her native Nutbush, TN, the Brownsville annual event known as Tina Turner Heritage Days will be particularly special this year with the unveiling of a bronze statue of Tina by internationally renowned sculptor Fred Ajanogha.  The statue will be located across from Carver High School where Tina first attended high school within the newly renovated Heritage Park and will serve as both a physical and symbolic tribute to Tina Turner's roots while providing inspiration to generations to come of what is possible.

Who: Jacquline Bullock, niece of the late Tina Turner, will join fans, local officials and the community at the unveiling of a new bronze statue honoring the entertainment legend.

About Jacquline Bullock

Jacquline Bullock is best known as the niece of legendary singer and performer Tina Turner, the "Queen of Rock 'n Roll."  Jacquline's mother Alline Bullock—Tina's sister, and a songwriter and manager of the Ikettes—traveled extensively with the Ike & Tina Turner Revue.  During that time, Jacquline spent much of her childhood living with her cousins in the Los Angeles home of Ike and Tina Turner.  This rare upbringing gives Jacquline a unique, firsthand perspective on one of music's most electrifying acts and what is widely regarded as the greatest comeback in music history.  Though she leads a relatively private life compared to her iconic aunt, Jacquline has made appearances on OWN's Welcome to Sweetie Pie's and has participated in public events honoring Tina Turner's legacy.  She remains the last surviving family member with a direct connection to the full arc of Tina Turner's extraordinary journey.
