Meals on Wheels to Break Ground on New Building

AMARILLO, Texas - May 10, 2019 - EntSun -- Meals on Wheels of Amarillo will break ground on a new office building Wednesday, May 15 at 4 p.m. at 7550 Outlook Drive. Media are encouraged to attend.

"We are excited about the location of our new building. It gives us the opportunity to serve more of our community in the future. This has been a long journey for us, but we have been so blessed by this community in the process," said Susie Akers, CFRE, Executive Director.

Meals on Wheels of Amarillo is a private, non-profit organization that delivers hot, nutritious meals to the homebound elderly and severely disabled who are unable to prepare adequate meals for themselves. Meals on Wheels helps the elderly remain in their own homes under the watchful eye of volunteers who care.
