Local incentives and high production value continues to atract filmmakers to the Tampa Bay area
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - EntSun -- Local production companies Litewave Media and Angry Elf Entertainment will once again join forces to produce "Mother Nature and the Doomsday Prepper". The feature film will be filmed early next year in St. Petersburg and Tampa. It's a RomCom where Mother Nature will lose her job unless she can convince a fanatic doomsday prepper that there is hope for our planet. "It addresses relevant environmental issues in a light-hearted way" stated producer Cameron Brumbelow.
The film's Executive Producer and writer, Laurie Criego, found Litewave Media when she searched for studios that could handle the visual and special effects necessary for this fantasy story. Criego states "The LED Wall at Litewave Media is state of the art for Virtual Production offering one of the most advanced studios in Florida. Just this past summer Mission Impossible 7 chose Litewave Media's studio to film the franchises final scenes." Laurie was also attracted to the Tampa Bay area given the film incentives in both Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. Some of the scenes were written to specifically showcase our beautiful area.

Christian Cashmir (Litewave Media) and Cameron Brumbelow (Angry Elf Entertainment) most recently worked together on the feature film "R.A.D.A.R.: The Adventures of Bionic Dog" which was distributed by Lions Gate Films earlier this year.
Local support for these films continues to be strong and provides a boost to the local economy. Each film employs 40-50 local crew members, and each productions will usually spend additional funds on hotel rooms, catering, rental equipment, travel, and transportation.
