Creators' Rights Movement Advances Copyright Rights and Generational Ownership

EntSun News/11081055
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - EntSun -- The Era of Ownership: Creators' Rights Movement Advances Copyright Rights and Generational Ownership in 2026

New York - January 5, 2026

The Creators' Rights Movement (CRM) enters 2026 building on a year of measurable progress, strategic partnerships, and expanding national advocacy focused on creator ownership, publishing rights, and long-term economic security.

CRM exists to confront the erosion of creator ownership and to advance solutions centered on education, coalition-building, and legislative reform, particularly around copyright duration, ownership retention, and the ability for creators to secure generational wealth from their work.

Foundational Leadership

The Creators' Rights Movement was established under the leadership of Mark G. Goldstein, Founder and Chief Leadership Officer, with Kimberly Weekes, Director of Advocacy, and Eudon Delemar, Developer Director, playing instrumental roles in shaping the organization's mission, infrastructure, and national reach.

Together, the founding leadership has positioned CRM as a focused advocate for all creator ownership and addressing long-standing challenges that limit control, delay compensation, and undermine long-term value for creators and their families.

Strategic Growth and Partnerships

Throughout 2025, CRM expanded its national network of creators, advocates, and labor allies, strengthening its position as a trusted voice in creator-rights advocacy. A key component of this growth has been collaboration with organized labor to amplify awareness of creator ownership, publishing rights, and long-term economic security.

Kimberly Weekes, CRM Director of Advocacy, has been working in coordination with Ed Bower, President of CWA Local 3204, whose support has focused on helping spread awareness of the Creators' Rights Movement and encouraging engagement with the CRM petition. Bower and members of CWA Local 3204 have expressed support for CRM's mission by assisting in sharing information about the cause and elevating visibility among creators and allied professionals.

This outreach effort complements CRM's broader alignment with the Communications Workers of America (CWA), reinforcing the shared understanding that creative work is labor and that creators benefit from informed advocacy and long-term protections.

CRM also worked alongside world-renowned producer and composer Charles Wallert, whose career experience brings practical creative insight to CRM's ongoing initiatives.
