Local Heroes Prep for Michigan 400 mile Island to Island Charity Walk to Begin July 16th

CENTERLINE, Mich. - EntSun -- A LIVE STREAM EVENT! What's happening...

Jax (Jack Huffman) and Rissa (Tarissa Reel) planned walk will add up to more than 1.3 Million steps & will be LIVE broadcasted across Michigan's Lower Peninsula.  The 10 day feat is in support of the DMAN Foundation (Danny's Miracle Angel Network)! These two are starting this adventure by competing in the Escape to Belle Isle 10k on July 16th, 2022!   After the Escape to Belle Isle race Jax and Rissa will head out on foot and WALK the challenging, 300-mile, island to island trek across Michigan to Mackinac Island. Along the way Jax will be presented with the key to the city of his hometown, "The Heart of the Metro Detroit," Center Line, MI! Jax said, "I hope this unique journey inspires multitudes to just walk because the benefits are countless."  It has been said that his efforts should inspire numerous communities to begin walking clubs.  It is widely known that people that walk together stay healthier together.  Know your limitations & consult a physician before engaging in any type of physical activity.

But wait this is a two-part adventure!!

On July 26th, 12-year-old Jimmy (James Huffman) will be welcoming Jax and Rissa on their completion of the lower peninsula. Then Jimmy is setting out on foot from Mackinac Island and WALKING 100-miles across Michigan's Upper Peninsula to Sable Falls, connecting the Upper and Lower peninsulas of "America's High Five". Jimmy will be accompanied by Jax (Dad) on his first 100-mile walk. Jimmy is supporting the Make-a-Wish Foundation with 200,000 steps!
