300 bricks offer an opportunity to honor loved ones and celebrate St. Louis' aviation heritage

ST. LOUIS - EntSun -- The National Museum of Transportation invites aviation enthusiasts, families and businesses to become a lasting part of its expanding Aviation Plaza by purchasing one of 300 available legacy bricks.

The plaza will feature the first Super Hornet ever built—the F/A-18 E1—alongside a Harrier Jump Jet and a Phantom MiG Killer. As plans take shape, the plaza will celebrate St. Louis' extraordinary contributions to aviation, recognizing the ingenuity and dedication of the men and women whose work at McDonnell Douglas and Boeing helped shape aviation history.

Legacy bricks offer a meaningful way to honor a loved one, recognize a company, commemorate a family's aviation connections or celebrate a lifelong passion for flight. Each personalized brick will become part of a space dedicated to preserving these remarkable aircraft and the stories of the people behind them.

"St. Louis' aviation legacy reaches far beyond the aircraft themselves. It lives in the people who designed, built and supported them," said Terri McEachern, Executive Director of The National Museum of Transportation. "These bricks offer an opportunity to honor those connections while helping us create a place where future generations can discover and appreciate that extraordinary history."

Legacy bricks also make thoughtful Christmas, birthday, or retirement gifts, creating a lasting tribute while supporting the Museum's growing celebration of aviation.

Bricks may be purchased online at tnmot.org or in person at The William R. and Laura Rand Orthwein Education and Visitor Center during regular Museum hours, 2933 Barrett Station Road, St. Louis, MO 63122.

Land your place in history. Honor a legacy. Help inspire the next generation.
