LEDI Announces 2022 International Life Changers Awards & Liberia Bicentennial Celebration on October 29, 2022 at CNN Center in Atlanta, GA

ATLANTA - EntSun -- Liberia Economic Development Initiative (LEDI), the premier nonprofit charity dedicated to the mission of "reducing poverty and changing lives" in Liberia, West Africa announces the 7th Annual International Life Changers Awards & Liberia Bicentennial Celebration on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 5:00 PM EST at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center, International Ballroom, 100 CNN Center, Atlanta, GA 30303.



This extraordinary celebration themed "Giving the Gift of Literacy: The Perfect Bicentennial '200th Birthday' Gift to Liberia" is LEDI's annual fundraising event benefiting the completion of Liberia's first modern public library and technology center currently under construction. The event will include a networking reception with celebrity & dignitary appearances, a 5-star dinner and dessert reception, silent auction, awards recognition, live entertainment, Liberian cultural presentations and so much more!

Friends of LEDI, international dignitaries from the US, Liberia, and around the world, local leaders, and allies of Liberia will gather at an affair like none other to commemorate the Bicentennial of the Republic of Liberia, a year-long celebration commemorating the 200th anniversary of the arrival of 12,000 free Blacks and emancipated slaves from the shores of America to Providence Island, Liberia via The Elizabeth ship on January 7, 1822 in search of freedom.

The event will climax with an awards presentation honoring the lifetime achievement of distinguished 2022 LEDI International Life Changer honorees (to be announced), Liberian cultural presentations, and breathtaking African musical and dance performances.
