Kent State Sales Team Finishes in Top Eight at University of Toledo Invitational Sales Competition
EntSun News/10768800
KENT, Ohio - March 14, 2019 - EntSun -- The Kent State Sales Team finished in the top eight competing universities at the University of Toledo Invitational Sales Competition. This is the nation's only sales competition dedicated exclusively to non-seniors and Kent State teams have placed in the top 10 universities since its inception in 2016.
Students Joseph Crewdson and Emily Duffy competed and advanced to the second and final round, respectfully. This was Duffy's second appearance at this event – last year advancing to the second round – and this year placing sixth overall.
Peer coaches included senior business management major Nathan Clevenger and senior managerial marketing major Leanne Grubbs, as well as freshman marketing major Julia Fine who attended as an alternate.
The Kent State team placed eighth out of 36 universities in the competition, representing states across the country.

"This event provides underclassman with the opportunity to compete against other young students, while learning important sales skills and techniques," said Ellen Daniels, Pi Sigma Epsilon advisor and associate lecturer in the Marketing and Entrepreneurship Department. "I am proud of our terrific students and the time they put into representing the College of Business Administration at the national level."
The 2018-2019 academic year has been marked with success by the Kent State Sales Team, with the team also placing first in the International Collegiate Sales Case Competition (https://www.kent.edu/business/news/college-business-administration-sales-case-team-wins-international-collegiate-sales) held in Orlando, Florida in November.
