Kaleidoscope Premieres New Play Based on Winnie the Pooh Stories
EntSun News/10807025
The world's most beloved bear and his friends come to life in the latest theatrical offering from Victoria's Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People: The House at Pooh Corner.
VICTORIA, British Columbia - EntSun -- Winnie the Pooh first appeared in 1926 in a collection of stories by author A.A. Milne created for his young son, Christopher Robin. Christopher Robin's toy animals became the basis for many of the characters and his own name was used as the beloved human friend of the animals. The delightful antics of Pooh, Eyeore, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit, and even little Roo have been delighting young people for over 90 years, with stories full of comic moments and silly verses. The stories are also notable for their insights into human behaviour, and Milne's characters are endearing but also complex.
In this latest production by Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People, Winnie the Pooh and his friends are joined by their beloved Christopher Robin, embarking on a string of engaging adventures in The House at Pooh Corner. The charm of the friendships shared in this beautiful stage adaptation of A.A. Milne's book blends enchanting puppetry and music into a story that transports audiences right into the Hundred Acre Wood.
