Hey, Mama! Keep Your Kids Home Where They Belong

The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine supports homeschooling families all school year long all over the world
GRAY, Tenn. - EntSun -- Homeschooling parents around the world recognize the phrases "Hey, Mama!" and "Keep your children home where they belong." Gena Suarez, The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine publisher, addresses readers with her uplifting "Hey, Mama!" columns, and Deborah Wuehler, senior editor, reminds parents that home is where children truly belong. Their voices, along with those of multiple other homeschool leaders, reach households globally through The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine. According to the National Home Education Research Institute, homeschooling "may be the fastest-growing form of education in the United States. Home-based education has also been growing around the world in many other nations (e.g., Australia, Canada, France, Hungary, Japan, Kenya, Russia, Mexico, South Korea, Thailand, and the United Kingdom)."
Suarez provided warm insight for newer homeschoolers planning for the 2022–2023 school year: "Take advantage of homeschool helps and connections like co-ops and support groups. Tap into the experience of that mom who's already walked the path you're on. Read homeschool articles and listen to homeschool podcasts. Whatever you're hoping for or dreaming of for your family this school year, resolve to stay inspired."

One way to consistently keep inspiration coming is through a subscription to The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine. "Each issue is a treasure packed full of enriching ideas and information on glossy pages each quarter. Now we also offer bonus digital content that you can access on the go," said Suarez. "We're homeschoolers too. We know moments waiting for busy kids at co-ops, rehearsals, practices, and appointments offer just the right amount of time to recharge."
Subscriptions secured in July and discounted during a presale through the end of the month will begin with the fall 2022 issue. Parents can anticipate articles on stress-free homeschooling, loving literature, what colleges want, and technology. Now that The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine is overflowing with digital content, additional themes include teaching life skills, special needs, and balancing work and homeschool life. "We'll keep you focused on what really matters all year long—wherever your homeschool happens," Suarez shared.
