A Gulf Coast Initiative Is Making Sure the Next Generation Understands AI Before It Leaves Them

MOBILE, Ala. - EntSun -- MOBILE, Ala. — Artificial intelligence is already reshaping how people work, learn, and earn. But in many communities, the children who will inherit that future are getting almost no preparation for it. Sync and Think was built to change that. Sync and Think is a community-rooted AI literacy initiative serving young people from elementary school through freshman year of college. Rather than teaching about AI in the abstract, the program puts real tools in young people's hands and teaches participants how to think alongside technology instead of simply consuming it. Sessions are hands-on, practical, and designed for the specific age groups in the room, from grade-schoolers meeting AI for the first time to college freshmen preparing to enter an AI-driven workforce. The initiative was founded by Napoleon Clausell, a Mobile-based entrepreneur and the founder of Cynchronis Solutions, the first AI native minority-owned creative agency on the Gulf Coast. A husband and father with more than eighteen years in graphic design Clausell built Sync and Think after watching AI move faster than any classroom around him could respond. What began as one person's concern has grown into a structured program with real partners and real reach. At the center of the program for its youngest learners is Think Squad, an original animated series that teaches critical thinking and AI literacy to grade-school children. Think Squad gives Sync and Think a teaching tool built specifically for how young children actually learn, turning abstract ideas about technology into stories a child can follow, absorb, and repeat. It anchors the elementary age sessions and gives the initiative a signature curriculum element that sets it apart from a standard workshop. Sync and Think is not a pilot waiting for permission to grow. It is already running. The initiative has established active partnerships with several Boys and Girls Club locations across the Gulf Coast, the YMCA, and Bishop State Community College, reaching young people in some of the region's most underserved communities. Participants are building genuine familiarity with AI tools and leaving with a foundation their peers in better-resourced districts are only beginning to receive.
