Produced by Think Three Media, the annual experience showcased 13 designers while celebrating Black excellence, culture and unity.
DALLAS - EntSun -- The fifth annual Juneteenth Fashion Show, presented by Legacy West and produced by Think Three Media, returned to the Lexus Box Garden at Legacy Hall on June 19, welcoming more than 800 attendees despite rainy weather earlier in the day.
This year's theme, "Ubuntu: Together, We Are – Together, We Rise," celebrated unity, shared humanity and the rich cultural influence of the African diaspora through 13 designer collections, live entertainment and community celebration. The African philosophy of Ubuntu—meaning "I am because we are"—served as the inspiration for the evening, honoring Black excellence through fashion, music and culture.
A portion of the event proceeds benefited The African Think Tank, a nonprofit organization dedicated to uniting Africans and friends of Africa through community, business and cultural initiatives.
