Governor Abbott Appoints Three To Texas Appraiser Licensing And Certification Board

~ Governor Greg Abbott has recently announced the appointment of three individuals to the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board. Tony "Mark" Luna, Jr. and Clayton Ripley have been appointed, while Stephanie L. Robinson, Ph.D. has been reappointed to the board. Their terms are set to expire on January 31, 2031.

Luna, a resident of Lubbock, brings a wealth of experience to the board as the managing director of Valbridge Property Advisors Lubbock Office. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University.

Joining Luna is Clayton Ripley from Austin, who currently serves as the vice president of HOLT Aerial and is also the managing director and owner of Town Lake Capital Management and Buffalo Gap Capital Partners. Ripley is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University. He is also actively involved in his community as a board member and treasurer for the Texas Land Trust Council and as an usher at All Saints Presbyterian Church.

Stephanie L. Robinson, Ph.D., hailing from McKinney, has been reappointed to the board after previously serving on it for several years. With over 20 years of experience in business and technology, Robinson brings valuable expertise as a seasoned entrepreneur and higher education consultant. She holds multiple degrees from the University of North Texas including a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management, a Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy in Learning Technologies.

These appointments are subject to Senate confirmation before they can officially join the board. The Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board plays an important role in regulating real estate appraisers and appraiser trainees by overseeing their education, ethics, certification or licensing processes. With these new appointments, Governor Abbott continues to prioritize qualified individuals who will serve with integrity on this important board.
